MINISTER OF FINANCE Chris Sinckler says this year’s Financial Statement and Budgetary Proposals is not a redo of any failed policy attempts by the Freundel Stuart administration.

“Rather, this is the continuation of a policy intervention matrix aimed at achieving the critical objectives of protecting our reserves, consolidating our public finances, stabilising and reducing our debt over time and growing our economy,” he told the House of Assembly yesterday, as he delivered the 2016-2017 Financial Statement and Budgetary Proposals.

He dismissed those who have been preaching doom and gloom, stating that the facts were there on the table. (TS)
