RESIDENTS OF Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church, cannot wait for construction of the new luxury property, Sandals Royal Barbados, to come to an end.

That’s because over the last 15 months, they have had to put up with the constant clouds of dust from the construction site of the 502 room hotel, which has affected their daily lives, even causing one resident health issues.

Those residents also claim that access to the natural water course has been blocked due to the ongoing construction, causing the road to flood when it rains; while the flooding also affects their houses.

Amidst heavy rain brought on by a tropical wave on Wednesday, a group of residents were left frustrated as water blanketed the coast road and blocked access. (AD)
