BY EARLY NEXT WEEK, the investigation into the killing of Selwyn “Blues” Knight and the wounding of his son Junior Jamar Knight should be completed.

Sources told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday that the investigations were now in the final stage and the file would be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to determine whether there was any criminal wrongdoing in the March 15 tragedy.

The latest development followed several calls for a speedy probe into the death of Knight who was killed by an off-duty police constable. The retired port worker and his son were chasing a thief who had entered their home and stolen two tablets.

A post-mortem found that Knight, who was 57, was shot in the back with the bullet penetrating his heart. (TS)
