An open 33-foot well at Mill Wall Close, Sanford, St Philip, has become a cause of deep concern for resident Rawle Eastmond.
“It is an accident waiting to happen. The well is located in a corner and somebody is going to come through here and fall into this well,” said Eastmond, who added that several children lived in the area and one of them could easily fall into the well and lose their life or be seriously hurt.
Eastmond complained that work by a private contractor has taken too long since it started back in February.
Workers spent almost three months digging the well, he noted, before they started on the drains. (LK)
