That was the challenge thrown out yesterday to Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler by Opposition Leader Mia Mottley regarding the Credit Suisse loan.
Despite a Ministerial Statement by Sinckler on Thursday explaining that Barbados had not defaulted on the loan and had paid $41.23 million as of June 18, Mottley is still demanding to know if the loan was refinanced.
Speaking during a news conference with economic adviser Clyde Mascoll at her side, the Opposition Leader maintained that close to $78 million was owing to Credit Suisse, the global investment bank. (MB)
