NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

That was the reaction yesterday from Julianne Husbands, president of the Parent-Teacher’s Association at Chalky Mount Primary School, St Andrew, to Friday’s announcement by the Ministry of Education that the school will be closed tomorrow and Tuesday because of structural issues.

Husbands said she was only made aware when she was told about a notice in yesterday’s SATURDAY SUN.

Yet, on Friday, each student was given a note to take home informing of a meeting tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. at the Chalky Mount Wesleyan Church with Minister of Education Ronald Jones.

Husbands said information on the closure should have been attached to that note, as some parents may not have seen the newspaper.(SP)
