“WHAT IS THE HOLD-UP?”
That is the question several former workers at Grand Barbados are asking as they await the restart of their case before the Severance Payment Tribunal.
Ansonia Grant, Cecil Francis and Rodney Waithe want to know when the tribunal will call their case, which was halted in 2013 due to a protest against one of the members on the tribunal.
The trio was among 28 workers seeking severance pay.
Grant, a former cashier, worked there for 26 years; Francis, a cashier supervisor, was employed for 42 years, while Waithe, a former banquet porter, spent 19 years there. (RB)
